Tony Lakin is the Chief Information Security Officer for The Moffitt Cancer Center. He has over 30 years of cybersecurity leadership, strategy, engineering, and regulatory compliance experience. He is a retired United States Air Force Cyberwarfare Officer and honorably served 23 years on active duty in multiple roles culminating as the Director of Operations for the United States Air Force's premier Cyberwarfare Squadron based at Fort Meade, Maryland. During his time at Fort Meade, he directed cyber operations in support of national strategic objectives, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and the Central Intelligence Agency. He has a Master of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In addition, he holds the following certifications in good standing: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Healthcare Information Security Leaders (CHISL), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) and the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
