Palo Alto Networks just crushed it. Our Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) emerged as the clear and only leader in SecureIQLab’s Q1 2025 comparative report. SecureIQLab put six on-premises NGFWs to the test against the most evasive command-and-control (C2) attacks — Cobalt Strike and Empire.

The overall block rate wasn’t even close:

  • Palo Alto Networks: 97.02%
  • Fortinet: 36.56%
  • Check Point: 46.59%
  • Cisco: 20.34%
